Bonnie
There's plenty of advice out there, the only thing I'd add is that you can't plan too much.

We provide a good tool to help visualise booth ideas ( www.babycad.com ) and it's free to use - please use it and let me know if it helps you to make good decisions.

Good luck with your booth designing.

Dear Bonnie:
Other things to consider are the displays of the products themselves. Eye level is Buy level is a good catchphrase to keep in mind, also the Less is More theory seems to be a trend. Clear messaging, brief and succinct - save the detail for the collateral. Perhaps a live presentation with lead cards may suit your purposes. Do not block the aisles, make the booth "invite friendly' allowing for people to easily enter the space and engage with the booth staff. Have effective follow up post show.
Hope this helps!
Sincerely,
Timothy Noonan

There are several different elements that have been seen in the trends of IT & Electronic Expo's recently.

Focus has truly been on "new products", trade shows are by far one of the best avenue's to create hype about a new and upcoming product. IT departments also like to see the classic products, if they carry that "new & improved" stamp.

Many of the trade show attendee's are enthralled by large theater style presentations. In the IT and Electronics industry, it has been noticed that the less cluttered a trade show booth is, it seems to be more inviting, you tend to get more traffic, the more streamlined your exhibit space is, especially by the aisles.

Flat panel screens for displays and on-line presentations are always favorable items.

Signs and graphics that are streamlined around your exhibit design can draw attention to your booth from across the trade show floor.

A few items that are important to consider when planning your exhibit design are:

Bright Lighting
Wireless Internet Connection
Music
Deluxe Carpeting
