very good post on how to utilize the resources of your business in trade shows. I agree with the idea of doing follow ups. This will create good impression about the business to the customers.

I agree. You should have a good understanding of what you are trying to promote, who is attending, and how best to tie in the two with a keepsake they will keep around in the office and not just hand off to their kids to destroy.
In my opinion, the best bet is to give away something that belongs in the office or on a desk. This way it has a better chance of landing in a place where you logo is near where they make their business decisions.

The thing I love about the pop up displays is the fact that they take very little time to assemble, yet have a stunning look. There are so many configurations and sizes to choose from, without having to spend a lot.

I have also seen an increased demand of custom displays. Custom displays are the best trade show display option to ensure you will stand out at the show.

Thanks for the informative article!

Great information. Many exhibitors fail to establish goals for each trade show and suffer the consequences. Even something as simple as gathering contact information from a set number of attendees. Goals for establishing social media contacts are becoming common. http://Map-Dynamics.com has recently completed blog series about the use of Facebook and Twitter at trade shows. I found this information to be helpful.

Good post, having a professional looking booth is critical to drawing traffic in, I have seen many exhibits that look second rate and you can tell there not getting the traffic they want. In my opinion you should pay the extra cash for a better trade show booth, although many other aspects go into having a successful trade show other than just how nice your booth is...

Great article, I would agree you should never forget the importance of just networking at trade shows. Where else are you going to get such a concentrated group of people in your industry.

There are some people who underestimate the usefulness of trade shows.
Many have given up on them. In fact, more and more business owners are pulling out of trade shows. This is a wrong strategy. Instead of pulling out, they should think of various ways of improving their trade show displays and their booths. This way, they would have better shot at attracting potential customers.

Another great product that removes stickers is good old WD-40. If you need to apply another label holder or sticker, just wipe off with glass cleaner after using the WD-40.

Bonnie
There's plenty of advice out there, the only thing I'd add is that you can't plan too much.

We provide a good tool to help visualise booth ideas ( www.babycad.com ) and it's free to use - please use it and let me know if it helps you to make good decisions.

Good luck with your booth designing.
