<p>There are several trade shows that focus on the fashion and apparel industry, one of the leading is the<br />

<p>Exhibiting smarter is a great strategy with the current economy and you are not alone in changing up your trade show marketing and exhibit booth size.</p>
<p>Small exhibits can be vibrant and can accomplish the same goals and objectives as large exhibits.  It is much better to define your plan with a smaller exhibit than it is to eliminate trade shows completely.</p>
<p>Companies that send their buyers to trade shows are being more selective of who they send and why they are sending them.  With a more focused and qualified audience walking the trade show floor your opportunities to receive qualified leads seems to be increasing.</p>
<p>Redefining your marketing to encompass all the trade shows you are looking to get exposure at is a good marketing strategy.</p>

<p>Dim weight or dimensional weight is a standard formula used throughout the airfreight industry that considers density when determining airfreight charges. A dim weight formula is used to consider the amount of space a package will take on an aircraft in relation to the weight of the package.</p>
<p>Carriers use separate dimensional weight calculations for domestic and international shipments based on a standard density - weight per unit volume. A density of 1/194 pound per cubic inch (1/7 the density of water) is used on domestic packages. A density of 1/166 (1/6 the density of water) is used internationally.</p>
<p>To determine the dimensional weight of a package: A) Multiply the package&#8217;s length by the width by the height (round each number to the nearest whole inch). The result is the cubic size of the package. If this number is 1,728 inches or less, use the actual weight in your rate calculations. B) If this number is more than 1,728 inches, divide the cubic size by 194 to determine the dimensional weight (in pounds). Increase fractions of a pound to the next full pound.</p>
<p>Irregular shaped containers cost more to ship because they must treated as if they were rectangular. You measure length, width, and height at the extreme points.</p></div>

Do organizers get involved in training sessions related to <strong>Network Marketing</strong>, for example, or workshops or is that only a part of a conference that might be connected to the trade show?</p>
<p>I have a transformational one-hour workshop I deliver that helps people learn how to love networking. Considering trades shows are HUGE opportunity to meet people, they are also a very unstructured environment and many people would get more for their money if they could attend a quick session to grow those skills on the spot to use that day.</p>
<p>Would this type of benefit be of interest at trade shows or does it mostly fit for conferences?</p>

<p><strong>Marketing your Brand Name</strong> within your <strong>trade show display</strong> will create a presence for you on the trade show floor and you should always keep your target audience in mind.  Make sure that your organization&#8217;s name is presented and located at the highest point within your trade show display.</p>
<p>Trade show graphics should be easy to read and send a simple message.</p>
<p>If you are using a <strong>trade show theme</strong> keep it consistent within your entire marketing strategy.</p>
<p>If you are going to have a key product or service, display it within your graphics prominently</p>
<p>Make sure any tables that are in your trade show display are the appropriate height and right for any planned activities.</p>
<p>Position any video screens that display your brand name so that they are easily viewed.</p>
<p>Ample storage space within your trade show display will eliminate clutter and allow your visitors to easily navigate your trade show display.</p>
<p>When you are defining your <strong>marketing brand name</strong>, make sure the colors you choose are pleasing to the eye, yet draw the attention to your exhibit display.</p>
<p>Remember 10-20 feet away&#8230;</p>
<p>&#8230;.anything that is not visible and clear from that distance can be overlooked, no matter what products or services you are marketing, always make sure that your message is legible.  Long drawn out marketing messages have a tendancy to loose people&#8217;s attention.</p>

<p>Finding out as much information on the upcoming trade show and asking a lot of questions can lead to trade show success.</p>
<p>Getting valid information from the trade show organizers regarding who will be attending the trade show is a very good idea.  This information can give you an idea of who your trade show audience will be.  Including their job titles, their function within the organization as well as the industries they represent.</p>
<p>Always find out about trade show security - it is not surprising that competitors can send in spies and any valuables that are in your trade show booth may be at risk.  Find out if the trade show floor is patrolled by night security.  Look into locked storage for anything that will be left in your trade show booth overnight.</p>
<p>Check the lay of the land and find out who will be exhibiting next to you, there is nothing worse than putting the time &amp; effort into exhibit design and finding out once the show opens that your trade show booth is hidden behind several larger booths.</p>
<p>Speaking opportunities at Trade Shows are a great way to get your knowledge out there, but do not power sell your product, you want to advice your audience and peak their interest in your knowledgeable solutions.  In hopes they will want to stop by your trade show booth and start a conversation.</p>
